Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry Shake, regular size

Select and harvest ripe Malbec grapes from the vineyard. Ensure that the grapes are healthy and free of rot.

Harvesting Grapes

In a clean fermentation container, crush the grapes to release their juice. This can be done by hand or with a grape crusher.

Crushing Grapes

Add 1 litre of water to the crushed grapes to help with fermentation and dilute the grape juice slightly.

Adding Water

Dissolve 200g of sugar in a small amount of warm water and add it to the grape mixture to enhance sweetness.

Mixing Sugar

Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of wine yeast over the mixture and stir gently to incorporate. This will kickstart the fermentation process.

Adding Yeast

Cover the fermentation container with a clean cloth and let it sit in a cool, dark place for about 7-10 days. Stir daily to aerate the mixture.

Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, strain the liquid from the solids using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the wine from the grape skins.

Pressing

If using oak chips, add them to the strained wine for additional flavor. Transfer the wine to a clean fermentation vessel and let it age for 3-6 months in a dark, cool place.

Aging

Once aging is complete, bottle the wine in clean, sterilized bottles. Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place.
