Method

Preparation

1

Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped dill. Place the salmon fillets in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Prepare the Grill

Prepare your wood charcoal grill by lighting the charcoal and allowing it to heat until it is covered with white ash. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.

Grilling

3

Grill the Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

4

Cook the Sides (if desired)

If you are adding sides, grill asparagus for 4-5 minutes or boil baby potatoes until tender, about 10-15 minutes.

Serving

5

Plate the Dish

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with your choice of side and garnish with extra dill or lemon slices if desired.
