Method

Prepare bottle

1

Inspect and clean

If using a reusable bottle, inspect for cracks or damage. Rinse the bottle and cap with warm water. If it hasn't been cleaned recently, wash with warm soapy water and a bottle brush, then rinse thoroughly to remove soap residue. For a disposable sealed bottle, remove the cap just before drinking.

2

Ensure the bottle is fully dry inside if storing water for later use, or leave slightly damp when filling immediately.

Fill and flavor (optional)

3

Add ice (optional)

If you want chilled water, place up to 4 ice cubes into the bottle before adding water. Leave space at the top (about 1–2 cm) so the cap can be replaced without spilling.

4

Add water

Pour cold drinking water into the bottle until nearly full (leave 1–2 cm headspace). If using a prefilled disposable bottle, skip this step.

5

Add flavor or electrolytes (optional)

If using lemon slices or mint, add them now. If using an electrolyte powder/tablet, follow the package directions: add the recommended serving into the bottle and cap it before shaking to dissolve. For tablets, drop in and wait until fully dissolved, then shake gently.

Seal and store

6

Tightly screw the cap back on to prevent spills and contamination. If carrying in a bag, ensure the cap is secure and the bottle is upright when possible.

7

For best taste and safety, consume filled water within 24 hours if kept at room temperature, or within 48 hours refrigerated in a clean, sealed bottle. Discard any water that tastes or smells off.

Cleaning after use

8

After finishing, rinse the bottle with warm water. If used for flavored or sweetened drinks or electrolyte mixes, wash with warm soapy water and use the cleaning brush for the bottle neck and cap. Rinse and air dry completely before storing empty.
