1. Cook the Meat
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or chicken. Cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned.

Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the spices to blend with the meat.
4. Warm the Tortillas
While the meat is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until pliable.
5. Assemble the Tacos
To assemble, place a portion of the meat mixture on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream. Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
6. Serve
Serve the tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side.
