Reserve Añejo Flight

Method

Serving and Tasting Protocol

1

Set up a tasting space with three labeled glasses (1, 2, 3), a carafe of room-temperature water, and neutral palate cleansers (plain bread or crackers). Ensure all bottles are ready to pour just before service.

2

Pour 45 ml of Jose Cuervo 1942 Reserva de la Familia Tequila Añejo into Glass 1. Swirl gently for 5 seconds, evaluate aroma, then take a small sip to initiate the tasting.

3

Pour 45 ml of Azunia Tequila Añejo 2 Year into Glass 2. Swirl, smell, and compare its aroma and sweetness with Glass 1.

4

Pour 45 ml of San Matias Gran Reserva Tequila Añejo into Glass 3. Swirl, smell, and compare its oak, spice, and vanilla notes with the previous samples.

5

Taste order: Start with Glass 1, then Glass 2, then Glass 3. For each, take a small sip, hold for 2-3 seconds to coat the palate, then exhale slowly to perceive aroma while noting sweetness, oak, and finish. Rinse with a small amount of water between samples if needed.

6

Conclude with a brief note on balance and finish of each tequila, provide any pairing suggestions or personal preferences, and offer a short palate-cleanser between samples.
