Curly Fries Ingredients

Method

Curly Fries Preparation

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Using a spiralizer or curly fry cutter, cut the potatoes into curly shapes.

2

Soak the Curly Fries

Soak the spiralized potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

3

Make the Batter

In a large bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

5

Coat and Fry

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry. Dredge them in the batter mixture and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

6

Drain and Serve

Remove the curly fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with additional salt if desired and serve hot.
