Method

Cheeses

  1. 1

Arrange the Brie, aged cheddar, and Gorgonzola cheeses on a large wooden board or platter. Cut the cheeses into wedges or cubes for easy serving.

Cured Meats

  1. 2

Fold the prosciutto, salami, and capicola slices and place them artfully around the cheese on the board.

Fruit Jam

  1. 3

    Prepare the Jam

In a saucepan, combine fresh figs, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the figs break down and the mixture thickens, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool and transfer to a small bowl.

Roasted Almonds

  1. 4

    Roast the Almonds

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, toss raw almonds with olive oil and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool and place in a small bowl.

Pickled Vegetables

  1. 5

    Pickle the Vegetables

Slice the carrots, cucumbers, and red onions thinly. In a jar, combine sliced vegetables, white vinegar, and sugar. Shake well and let sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Crostini

  1. 6

    Prepare the Crostini

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch pieces. Brush both sides with olive oil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
