Method
Prepare Glasses
Mix and Shake
Measure and add to a cocktail shaker: 3 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.75 oz agave syrup, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, and 3 oz blanco tequila.
Add about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of ice to the shaker (enough to properly chill and dilute). Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted.
Prepare serving ice: fill the two rimmed glasses with fresh ice.
Strain the shaken margarita evenly into the two prepared glasses over ice using a fine strainer or the shaker’s strainer to catch small ice chips. Each glass should receive about half the liquid.
Finish & Serve
Garnish each margarita with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. If you like a touch more salt, lightly sprinkle up to 1/2 tsp coarse salt over the top (optional).
Serve immediately while cold. Estimated alcohol per serving: roughly 1.5 oz tequila and 0.25 oz orange liqueur in each small margarita (depending on exact pours).
