Method

Prepare Glass

1

Rim the glass

Run the lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass to moisten. On a small plate, mix the kosher salt and optional coarse black pepper. Dip the moistened rim into the salt (and pepper) mix to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

Mix Cocktail

2

Fill a shaker about two-thirds full with ice.

3

Add 2 oz Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila, 0.5 oz Grand Marnier, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 tsp agave syrup (if you prefer a touch of sweetness) into the shaker.

4

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is well-chilled and slightly frosted.

5

Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh or Hawthorne strainer into the prepared glass over fresh ice (single large cube or several small cubes), or serve neat in a chilled coupe if preferred.

Garnish & Serve

6

Float one fresh jalapeño slice on top of the drink and rest the lime wedge on the rim or serve the lime on the side.

7

Serve immediately. Advise guests that the jalapeño will continue to infuse heat as it sits; remove if the drink becomes too spicy.
