Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle Mint and Lime

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and the lime, cut into wedges. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves and lime to release their juices and oils.

  2. 2

    Add Simple Syrup

Pour in the simple syrup over the muddled mint and lime mixture. This will add sweetness to the drink.

  3. 3

    Incorporate the Spirits

Add 2 oz of Don Q Cristal Rum and 1 oz of Pama Liqueur into the glass or shaker with the muddled mixture.

  4. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

Fill the glass or shaker with ice and shake or stir gently to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

Serving

  1. 5

    Strain and Serve

If using a shaker, strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with fresh ice. If using a mixing glass, you may directly pour the mixture into the glass.

  2. 6

    Add Club Soda

Top off the drink with 2 oz of club soda for a refreshing fizz. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 7

    Garnish

Garnish the drink with a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds and a sprig of mint. Optionally, you can add a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
