Sushi Rice

Sushi Filling

Method

Prepare Sushi Rice

1

Cook the Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2

Season the Rice

Once cooked, transfer the rice to a bowl. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Gently fold this mixture into the rice while it's still warm. Let it cool down.

Make Sushi Rolls

3

Prepare Fillings

Slice the fresh fish, avocado, and cucumber into thin strips.

4

Roll the Sushi

Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. Wet your hands and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori. Add fillings in the center and roll tightly using the mat. Slice into pieces.

Prepare Dim Sum

5

Make Filling

In a bowl, mix ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.

6

Assemble Dumplings

Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold, and seal tightly.

7

Cook Dim Sum

Steam the dumplings for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through. Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
