Sushi Ingredients

Method

Teppanyaki Preparation

1

Prepare the Steak and Vegetables

Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and black pepper. Slice the zucchini, mushrooms, bell pepper, and carrot into thin strips.

2

Heat the Teppanyaki Grill

Preheat the teppanyaki grill or a large flat skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil.

3

Cook the Steak

Add the seasoned steak to the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.

4

Add the Vegetables

Add the sliced vegetables to the grill along with minced garlic. Stir-fry for an additional 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

5

Finish with Soy Sauce

Drizzle soy sauce over the cooked steak and vegetables, mixing well. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.

Sushi Preparation

6

Prepare the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions and let cool.

7

Assemble the Sushi

Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.

8

Add Fillings

Place thinly sliced cucumber and avocado in a line across the center of the rice.

9

Roll the Sushi

Using the bamboo mat, roll the sushi tightly away from you, sealing the edge with a little water.

10

Slice and Serve

Slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces and serve with wasabi and pickled ginger on the side.
