Method
Lemonade Preparation
Juicing the Lemons
Cut the fresh lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp, yielding about 1 cup of lemon juice.
Making the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Mixing the Lemonade
In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the simple syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to mix.
Serving
Add ice to glasses and pour the lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an extra touch.
