Sesame Vinaigrette Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Sesame Vinaigrette

1

Make the Dressing

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, sesame seeds, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Cooking the Ahi Tuna

2

Sear the Tuna

Heat a skillet over high heat. Season the ahi tuna steaks with salt and black pepper. Sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if desired. Remove from heat and let rest.

Assembling the Salad

3

Combine Salad Ingredients

Slice the seared tuna into thin slices. In a large bowl, combine avocado (sliced), pickled ginger, julienned carrots, and sliced cucumber. Toss gently.

4

Serve the Salad

Drizzle the sesame vinaigrette over the salad mixture and toss to combine. Top with sliced ahi tuna and garnish with wonton strips. Serve immediately.
