Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Soak the dried beef in water for about 30 minutes to rehydrate it. Then drain and cut into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Onion

In a large pot, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Spices

Add minced garlic, paprika, and cumin to the pot. Stir for a minute until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Tomato Paste

Add the tomato paste to the pot and stir well to combine with the onion and spices.

  5. 5

    Add Water and Beef

Pour in the water and add the rehydrated beef pieces. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.

  6. 6

    Mix in Chickpea Flour

Gradually whisk in the chickpea flour to avoid lumps, stirring continuously.

  7. 7

    Simmer the Mixture

Let the mixture simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  8. 8

    Serve

Once thickened, remove from heat and serve warm with rice or bread.
