Add Cocoa Powder

Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract, 0.1 tsp of caffeine (if using), and 0.25 tsp of citric acid. Mix thoroughly until everything is well incorporated.

Incorporate Flavorings

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, you can add a drop of food coloring if you want to achieve a darker hue.

Cool the Mixture

In a large pitcher, combine the cooled cola mixture with 4 cups of carbonated water. Stir gently to combine without losing too much carbonation.

Combine with Carbonated Water

Pour the cola into glasses filled with ice. Enjoy your homemade cola!
