Brewed Coffee (per serving)

Method

Brewed Coffee (per serving)

1

Measure and grind

Measure 2 tablespoons of whole coffee beans per 8 fl oz of water. Grind to a medium grind (similar to granulated sugar) if beans are whole.

2

Heat water

Bring fresh cold water to a boil, then remove from heat and let sit 30 seconds (target temperature ~200°F / 93°C).

3

Brew

Place the ground coffee in your brewer (drip basket, pour-over cone with filter, French press, or AeroPress). Pour the hot water evenly over the grounds, saturating all grounds. For pour-over: pour in a slow circular motion over 3–4 minutes. For French press: pour water, stir gently, steep 4 minutes, then press. For drip: allow machine to complete brewing. For AeroPress: follow device-specific timing (typically 1–2 minutes).

4

Serve

Pour the brewed coffee into a warmed mug immediately to preserve aroma and temperature.

Optional Additions

5

Add milk and sweetener

If desired, add up to 2 tablespoons of milk (or dairy-free milk) and 1 teaspoon of sugar or sweetener to taste. Stir until combined.

6

Add flavored syrup or whipped cream

For flavored coffee, stir in 1 teaspoon of syrup. Top with 1 tablespoon whipped cream if desired.

7

Garnish

Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon or cocoa on top as a garnish.
