Cocktail

1

Chill glass (optional)

If desired, place a champagne flute or coupe in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill it briefly with ice water while you prepare the other components to ensure the drink stays cold.

2

Prepare juices

Juice a fresh orange and a fresh lime. Measure 1 oz fresh orange juice and 1/4 oz fresh lime juice. Strain the juices through a fine mesh if you want a smoother texture.

3

Build base

In a mixing glass or small pitcher, combine the cherry liqueur (1 oz), fresh orange juice (1 oz), fresh lime juice (1/4 oz), and cherry syrup (1/2 tablespoon). Stir gently for about 10 seconds to blend. If you prefer the cocktail cold without dilution, briefly add 4 ice cubes to the mixing glass, stir 8–10 seconds, then discard the ice before pouring.

4

Assemble the cocktail

Pour the cherry/juice mixture (about 2.75 oz) into the chilled flute or coupe. Slowly top with 3 oz chilled Prosecco, pouring gently down the side of the glass so the bubbles integrate without foaming over. The total volume should leave a small head of bubbles but not overflow.

5

Garnish and serve

Add one pitted fresh cherry or maraschino cherry onto a pick and rest it on the rim or drop it into the glass. Add an orange wheel or twist on the rim. Serve immediately while effervescent.

6

Notes

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the cherry syrup in 1/4 tablespoon increments. Use extra-dry Prosecco to keep the drink less sweet, or a slightly drier sparkling wine if preferred.
