Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.

  3. 3

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Remove the foil and brush BBQ sauce over the ribs. Return to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.

Making the Coleslaw

  1. 4

    Mix Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour this dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.

  2. 5

    Chill

Cover and refrigerate the coleslaw for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Slice the ribs and serve with a generous portion of coleslaw on the side. Top the coleslaw with chopped peanuts for added crunch.
