Prepare the Tartar Sauce

Mix Ingredients
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, dill pickles, lemon juice, capers, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Prepare the Fish

Prepare Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed potato chips.

Bread the Fish
Dredge each cod fillet in the flour, dip into the egg, and finally coat with crushed potato chips.

Fry the Fish
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the breaded cod fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Assemble the Sandwich

Build the Sandwich
On each burger bun, spread a generous amount of tartar sauce, place a fried cod fillet on top, add a slice of cheddar cheese, and a few leaves of Bibb lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.
