Loaded Baked Potato Ingredients

Method

Loaded Baked Potato Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash the Russet potatoes thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

  2. 2

    Season the Potatoes

Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. This will enhance the flavor and help the skin to crisp up.

  3. 3

    Bake the Potatoes

Place the seasoned potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon Lardon

While the potatoes are baking, cut the bacon lardon into small pieces. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Cheese and Chives

Grate the Wisconsin cheddar cheese and chop the chives finely, setting them aside for topping the baked potatoes.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Loaded Baked Potatoes

Once the potatoes are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently squeeze the ends to fluff the insides.

  7. 7

    Top the Potatoes

Add a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese, followed by crispy bacon lardon, a dollop of sour cream, and a sprinkle of chopped chives on each potato.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the loaded baked potatoes warm and enjoy your delicious, cheesy, and crispy creation!
