Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Oven and Skillet

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cast iron skillet or oven-safe pan with non-stick spray or butter.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and egg, mixing until fully combined.

3

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

4

Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared skillet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still soft.

5

Serve

Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and add whipped cream. Optionally add strawberry sauce, peanut butter sauce, or Reese’s pieces for enhancements.
