Cocktail Base

Method

Prepare

1

Chill glass

If desired, place your serving glass (coupe, rocks, or highball) in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Toast coconut (optional)

If using toasted coconut garnish, spread ~1 tsp coconut flakes on a small baking sheet and toast under a broiler for 1–2 minutes, watching closely, until golden. Let cool.

Mixing & Blending

3

Combine ingredients

In a blender, add 2 oz 1800 tequila, 1.5 oz coconut purée, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup.

4

Add ice

Add about 1.5 cups crushed ice to the blender. If you prefer a less slushy Snow-Rita, reduce crushed ice to 1 cup and add 3 ice cubes instead.

5

Blend

Pulse on medium-high until the mixture is smooth and slushy, about 10–20 seconds depending on blender power. Stop and scrape down sides if needed, then blend another 5–10 seconds to achieve an even texture. Do not overblend to the point of warming.

Serve & Garnish

6

Remove the chilled glass from the freezer (if used). If you prefer, fill the glass with a couple of ice cubes for extra chill.

7

Pour the blended Snow-Rita into the prepared glass, leaving a small gap at the top to avoid spilling.

8

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and sprinkle the toasted coconut flakes on top (or rim the glass with coconut for extra presentation). Serve immediately with a straw or short stirring spoon.
