If the Masottina Prosecco is not already well chilled, place the sealed 187 ml bottle in an ice bath: add ice and 2 cups of cold water to an ice bucket or large bowl, submerge the bottle for 8–10 minutes to rapidly bring it to serving temperature (about 6–8°C / 43–46°F).

Hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle away from people and fragile items. Remove the foil and loosen the muselet (wire cage) while keeping a thumb over the cork. Gently ease the cork out with controlled pressure; aim for a quiet hiss rather than a loud pop to preserve bubbles.

Tilt the chilled glass at a slight angle and gently pour the Prosecco down the side of the glass to preserve effervescence. Fill to about two-thirds full (approximately 125–150 ml) so aromas can concentrate.

Optional: add a lemon twist or a thin strawberry slice on the rim or dropped into the glass for a bright aromatic accent.

Serve immediately while the Prosecco is lively and bubbly. Use a napkin to hold the bottle if servicing additional guests to keep hands dry and glassware safe.
