Inspect the bottle for sediment and ensure cork is intact. Chill the Malbec slightly to serving temperature: best at 14–16°C (57–61°F). If wine is too warm, place it in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes; if too cold, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes. Use a wine thermometer if desired.

Check and chill

Use a waiter’s corkscrew to remove the foil and cork cleanly. Wipe the bottle lip with a clean cloth or napkin to remove any residue or cork particles.

Open the bottle

If not finishing the bottle, re-cork and refrigerate upright. Consume within 2–4 days for best quality; use a wine preservation system to extend freshness if available.
