Base & Fruit

Sweetener & Brightness

Method

Base & Fruit

1

Prepare fruit

If using whole frozen fruit, quickly run under warm water to remove any large frost clumps. Measure 1 cup each of frozen strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Peel and break the ripe banana into chunks.

2

Place the frozen berries and banana chunks in the blender jar first to ensure they are closest to the blades for efficient blending.

Liquids & Dairy/Non-dairy

3

Add 1 cup yogurt and 1 cup milk (or almond milk) to the blender on top of the fruit. These liquids help the blades move and create a smooth texture.

Sweetener & Brightness

4

Add 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey) for sweetness and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavor. Adjust sweetness later to taste.

Boosters & Texture

5

Add 1 teaspoon ground chia seeds and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. If you prefer a thicker or colder smoothie, add 4 ice cubes now.

6

Secure the blender lid. Start blending on low speed for 10–15 seconds to break up the larger pieces, then increase to medium-high and blend for 30–45 seconds until fully smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed, then blend another 10–15 seconds.

7

Check consistency: if too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons more milk and blend briefly; if too thin, add a few more frozen berries or 1/2 banana and blend again. Taste and add more maple syrup/honey if additional sweetness is desired (up to 1 more tsp).

Serve & Garnish

8

Pour the smoothie into two glasses (or one large). Garnish each serving with 3 fresh whole berries and 2 mint leaves, if desired.

9

Serve immediately with a reusable straw. Store any leftover smoothie in a sealed container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours; shake or stir before drinking, as separation may occur.
