Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Meat

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the smoked bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.

2

Brown the Beef and Pork

Add the beef tips and pork tenderloin to the pot. Brown the meat on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

3

Sauté the Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, banana peppers, and jalapeño peppers to the pot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onions are translucent.

4

Add the Remaining Ingredients

Stir in the diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.

5

Simmer the Chili

Reduce heat to low and let the chili simmer uncovered for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

6

Serve

Ladle the chili into bowls and top with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and sour cream if desired.
