Main Cocktail

Method

Main Cocktail

1

Muddle aromatics

In a cocktail shaker, add the cucumber slices and mint leaves. Gently muddle 6–8 times to release cucumber juice and mint aroma — avoid pulverizing the mint to prevent bitterness.

2

Build the drink

Add the reposado tequila, Aperol, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and ginger liqueur (or ginger syrup) to the shaker with the muddled cucumber and mint.

3

Shake

Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and well-chilled.

Sparkle & Finish

4

Strain

Double-strain the mixture (use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer) into a highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice to remove small cucumber bits and mint fragments.

5

Top and garnish

Top the glass with about 2 oz club soda or sparkling water and gently stir once to integrate. Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and a small sprig of mint; optionally tuck a thin cucumber ribbon inside the glass for presentation.

6

Serve immediately while effervescent. Advise the drinker to give the glass a gentle stir before sipping to redistribute the soda and aromatics.
