Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the Dip

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, smoked salmon (chopped), caramelized onions, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Serve

Transfer the smoked salmon dip to a serving dish. Serve with piquillo pepper jam drizzled on top and flatbread on the side.
