Method
Prep
Salt the glass (optional)
Take a rocks or coupe glass and rub a lime wedge around the rim. Spread the coarse sea salt on a small plate and gently dip the moistened rim into the salt so it adheres. Set the glass aside.
If you prefer your margarita less sweet or more tart, adjust agave syrup by +/- 0.25 oz to taste before shaking.
Build & shake
Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice (about 1 cup).
Add 2 oz Exotico Tequila blanco, 0.75 oz Bols Triple Sec, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup to the shaker.
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds (until the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted).
Serve
Double-strain the mixture (using the shaker's built-in strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available) into the prepared glass. For a traditional margarita, serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass; for a classic coupe, serve straight up without ice.
Garnish with the lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
