Preparation of Ingredients
Prepare the Haricots Verts
Trim the ends of the haricots verts and blanch them in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking process.
Prepare the Cherry Tomatoes
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Set aside.
Prepare the Olives
If necessary, pit the black olives and set them aside.
Cooking the Tuna
Making the Dressing
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Assembling the Salad
Assemble the Niçoise Salad
On a serving plate, arrange the haricots verts, halved cherry tomatoes, black olives, and sliced hard-boiled eggs. Slice the seared tuna and place it on top of the salad. Drizzle with the dressing and serve immediately.
