Base Cocktail

Effervescence & Finish

Sweetener & Balance (optional)

Method

Prepare Glass & Base Cocktail

1

Chill and combine

Chill a large wine glass or highball by filling with ice and set aside. In a cocktail shaker (or mixing glass) add gin, dry vermouth, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice and optional simple syrup. Add several ice cubes to the shaker.

2

Shake and strain

Vigorously shake for 10–12 seconds until well chilled (if using a mixing glass, stir for 15–20 seconds). Discard ice from the chilled serving glass and place a large ice cube or two into it. Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass to remove small shards of ice and lemon pulp.

Add Effervescence & Finish

3

Slowly pour the Prosecco over the back of a spoon or down the inside of the glass to preserve bubbles, allowing about 3 oz. Top with 1 oz club soda to balance the sweetness and adjust fizz.

4

Taste and adjust: if you prefer a sweeter spritz, add up to an additional 0.25 oz simple syrup and stir gently once to combine. Do not over-stir — you want to keep the effervescence.

Garnish & Serve

5

Garnish with a thin lemon wheel floated on the surface and a sprig of fresh mint tucked beside it. Give the mint a gentle clap between your palms before placing it to release aroma.

6

Serve immediately while effervescent. Estimated single serving.
