Fluffy Ice Flakes

Kokum and Jamun Syrup

Toppings

Method

Preparing Fluffy Ice Flakes

1

Crush the Ice

Take 4 cups of ice cubes and crush them using a blender or ice shaver until you achieve a fluffy, snow-like texture.

Making Kokum and Jamun Syrup

2

Prepare the Syrup

In a pot, combine 50g of dried kokum, 100g of black jamun, 1 cup of sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly. Strain the syrup to remove the solids and let it cool.

Assembling the Kala Khatta Gola Ice

3

Layer the Ice and Syrup

In a serving glass or bowl, place a generous layer of fluffy ice flakes. Drizzle the kokum and jamun syrup over the ice, allowing it to soak in.

4

Add Toppings

Add 1 cup of fresh blueberries on top of the syrupy ice. Sprinkle 1 tsp of chili powder and a pinch of black salt over the blueberries. Finish with a drizzle of 2 tbs of lime juice for an extra zing.
