Preparation

1

Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and cut the russet potatoes into fries. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.

2

Cook the Carne Asada

Season the carne asada with salt and black pepper. Grill over medium-high heat for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.

3

Assemble the Fries

Once fries are done, remove them from the oven and layer the grilled carne asada on top. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the meat and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

4

Add Toppings

Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
