Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Collard Greens

Rinse the collard greens thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.

2

Sauté the Aromatics

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

3

Cook the Collard Greens

Add the chopped collard greens to the pot and stir to combine with the onion and garlic. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, then add the red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.

4

Simmer

Cover the pot and let the collard greens simmer for about 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.

5

Finish and Serve

Once the collard greens are tender, stir in the apple cider vinegar. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot.
