Muddling & Mixing
Muddle raspberries
Place 6 fresh raspberries into a cocktail shaker or a mixing glass. Add 0.5 oz simple syrup and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice. Using a muddler, gently press and twist the raspberries until broken down and juices are released but not pulverized — you want a pulpy, vibrant mixture.
Add bourbon and ice
Add 2 oz Row 94 bourbon to the muddled raspberry mixture. Fill the shaker with ice (enough to chill thoroughly, about 4–6 large cubes).
Shake
Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and the ingredients are well combined.
Build & Finish
Strain into glass
Fill a highball or Collins glass with 1 cup of cubed ice. Double-strain the shaken mixture into the glass through a fine mesh strainer (to remove raspberry seeds and pulp) and a standard cocktail strainer to ensure clarity.
Top with lemonade and sparkling water
Add 3 oz cold lemonade to the glass, then top with 2 oz chilled sparkling water. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to integrate without losing too much carbonation.
