Ingredients: 2 oz Bourbon (or rye) whiskey; 0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice; 0.5 oz Honey syrup (1:1 honey to hot water); 0.5 oz Fresh orange juice; 2 dashes Angostura bitters; 0.5 oz Egg white (optional for foam); 4 oz Blue Moon Belgian White beer (chilled); 1 piece Orange slice or wheel; 1 tsp Grated orange zest; 1 piece Large ice (for serving)

OLD FASHIONED

In a cocktail shaker, add bourbon, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, fresh orange juice, Angostura bitters, and egg white (if using). Dry shake (no ice) vigorously for 15–20 seconds to emulsify the egg and incorporate aeration.

Add ice to the shaker, then shake again for 10–12 seconds until well chilled (shake hard so the mixture is cold and slightly frothy).

Shake with ice

Prepare a rocks or Collins glass by placing one large ice cube (or fill with fresh ice if you prefer).

Double strain the shaken cocktail over the ice (use a fine mesh strainer if you used egg white) so the liquid sits in the glass with a light foam on top.

Slowly top the cocktail with chilled Blue Moon Belgian White (about 4 oz). Pour gently so it layers and integrates without flattening the foam too much.

Garnish with an orange wheel on the rim and a light grating of fresh orange zest over the foam. If desired, add a few drops of bitters on the foam for aroma and a decorative touch.

Serve immediately with a short stir stick so the drinker can combine the beer with the cocktail base as desired.
