Pasta Marinara & Meatballs Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Make the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Marinara Sauce

In the same skillet, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, sugar, and salt. Bring to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Return the meatballs to the skillet with the marinara sauce. Simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.

  6. 6

    Cook the Linguini

Meanwhile, cook the linguini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the meatballs and marinara sauce over the linguini, garnished with fresh basil.
