Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jasmine Rice

Start by rinsing the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice with 1.5 cups of water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Place the salmon fillets in the bowl and coat them well with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Asparagus

While the salmon is marinating, trim the woody ends off the asparagus. Toss the asparagus with a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  4. 4

    Grill the Salmon and Asparagus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill, and grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Add the asparagus to the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally until tender.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, serve the grilled salmon alongside the asparagus and a scoop of jasmine rice. Garnish with fresh dill if desired.
