Method
Meats
Cook bacon
Place a large nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the two bacon strips and cook 3–5 minutes per side, or until edges are crisp and fat is rendered. Transfer bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate and keep warm. Leave about 1–2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the pan or wipe most out and add 1 tsp vegetable oil if pan is dry.
Cook sausage links
Using the same skillet over medium heat, add the two sausage links. Cook, turning occasionally, about 8–10 minutes, until evenly browned and cooked through (internal temperature 160°F / 71°C). If the sausages brown too quickly, lower heat to medium-low. Transfer to plate with bacon and tent loosely with foil to keep warm.
Hash Browns
Finish hash browns
Cook without stirring for 4–6 minutes until bottom is golden brown and crispy. Season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Flip in sections or stir and press again, cooking another 3–5 minutes until desired crispness is reached. Reduce heat if browning too fast. Keep warm in a low oven (200°F / 95°C) or tent with foil.
Scrambled Eggs & Cheese
Prepare egg mixture
Crack the 3 eggs into a medium bowl. Add 2 tbsp milk, 1 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Whisk vigorously until blended and slightly frothy.
Start cooking eggs
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat and add 1 tbsp unsalted butter. When butter melts and begins to foam (but not brown), pour in the egg mixture. Let eggs sit undisturbed for 10–15 seconds until edges begin to set.
