Chill glass (optional)

Place a rocks or coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink to chill the glass.

Combine ingredients

Add 2 oz Tito's Handmade Vodka, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, and 1/4 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

Add ice and shake

Add a generous handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the outside is frosty.

Strain

Empty the chilling glass if you used ice water. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled glass over fresh ice (for a rocks presentation) or without ice (for a coupe). Use a Hawthorne strainer or fine mesh for a cleaner texture.

Garnish

Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel on the rim. Squeeze the lime over the drink first if you prefer a brighter citrus note, then drop the wedge in.

Optional - Fizzy Variant

If you want a lighter, sparkling version (similar to a vodka soda with lime), after straining top the cocktail with about 2 oz club soda and gently stir once to combine. Do not shake after adding soda.
