Equipment
Method
Prep
Chill glass and prepare rim
If desired, place the rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill. Pour the kosher salt onto a small plate. Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of the chilled glass, then gently press the rim into the salt to create a thin, even salt rim. Set the glass aside.
Juice the lime
Roll a fresh lime on the counter to loosen juices, then cut and squeeze to yield at least 1 oz (about one medium lime). Strain any large pulp or seeds if preferred.
Mixing
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz Lunazul Blanco Tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.75 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz agave syrup, and 2 dashes orange bitters into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice, seal, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold. This both chills and dilutes the cocktail to proper balance.
Double strain and serve
Open the shaker and strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice (or serve straight up in a chilled coupe). Use a fine strainer if you prefer to remove small ice chips or pulp.
Finish & Garnish
Garnish the cocktail with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a bit of lime zest over the drink and drop it in for aroma. Serve immediately.
Enjoy responsibly. This recipe yields a classic tequila cocktail highlighting Lunazul Blanco's agave-forward profile.
