1. Prepare bread
Slice the ciabatta roll horizontally. Lightly spread the softened butter on the cut interior of both halves to promote browning.
2. Toast
Place the cut sides down on a preheated skillet (medium heat) or under a broiler for 1–2 minutes until golden and slightly crisp. Remove and set aside.
3. Whisk the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until smooth. Spread the mayo-mustard mixture evenly on the bottom half of the toasted roll and a thin layer of mayo on the top half.
