Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Plantains

Peel the ripe plantains and slice them diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces.

2

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.

3

Fry the Plantains

Carefully add the plantain slices to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and caramelized.

4

Drain and Season

Once fried, remove the plantains from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

5

Serve

Arrange the fried plantains on a serving plate, and top with crumbled queso fresco and a drizzle of crema. Enjoy!
