Cocktail
Prepare the glass
If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass and dip the rim into salt or Tajín. Fill the glass with crushed ice and set aside.
Muddle mint
In a cocktail shaker, place 6 of the mint leaves and the agave syrup. Gently muddle 6–8 times—press to release oils but avoid shredding the leaves to prevent bitterness.
Combine ingredients
Add the Partida Blanco Tequila (2 oz), Grand Marnier (1/2 oz), fresh watermelon juice (2 oz), and fresh lime juice (3/4 oz) to the shaker.
Shake
Add enough ice to fill the shaker (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker becomes cold and slightly frosty.
Double strain
Double strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over the crushed ice using a hawthorne strainer and fine mesh strainer to remove mint pieces and ice shards for a smooth texture.
Finish and garnish
Gently slap the remaining 2 mint leaves between your palms to release aroma and float them on top of the drink. Garnish with a small watermelon wedge or wheel on the rim. Taste and, if needed, add a light drizzle (about 1/4 oz) of additional agave to adjust sweetness.
