Method

Sorbet Preparation

1

Prepare the Rhubarb

In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped rhubarb, water, and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the rhubarb is tender. Remove from heat and let cool.

2

Blend the Strawberries

In a blender, add the fresh strawberries, remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and the cooled rhubarb mixture. Blend until smooth.

3

Mix in Vodka

Stir in the vanilla-infused vodka to the blended mixture until well combined.

4

Freeze the Mixture

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. If you do not have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until fully frozen.

5

Serve

Once the sorbet is frozen, scoop it into bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing strawberry and rhubarb sorbet!
