For the Spicy Garlic Shrimp

For the Herbed Ricotta Polenta

For the Anise Cream

Method

Preparing the Spicy Garlic Shrimp

1

Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Cook until shrimp are opaque and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Remove from heat and set aside.

Making the Herbed Ricotta Polenta

2

Prepare the Polenta

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Gradually whisk in cornmeal, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Reduce heat to low and cook until thickened, about 15-20 minutes. Stir in ricotta cheese, herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Creating the Anise Cream

3

Whip the Anise Cream

In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, anise extract, and sugar. Whip until soft peaks form.

Serving

4

Assemble the Dish

To serve, place a generous scoop of herbed ricotta polenta on each plate. Top with the spicy garlic shrimp and drizzle with anise cream. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired.
