Preparing the Soup Base

Step 1: Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine the espresso, milk, cocoa powder, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, whisking until the mixture is smooth and heated through.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the brandy, bourbon, and vanilla extract. Mix well and set aside.

Making the Crème Chantilly

Step 3: Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, add the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla bean seeds. Whip until soft peaks form.

Ladle the hot chocolate soup into bowls and top with a generous dollop of crème Chantilly. Serve immediately.
