1

Prepare the Mushrooms

Rinse the mushrooms under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove the stems and finely chop them.

2

Make the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and sauté the chopped mushroom stems and minced garlic until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

3

Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed mushroom mixture with cream cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

4

Prepare Puff Pastry

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into squares, approximately 10cm x 10cm.

5

Fill the Pastry

Place a spoonful of the mushroom filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a triangle or rectangle, and press the edges to seal.

6

Brush with Egg

Place the filled pastry rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

7

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

8

Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Mushroom Rolls warm as an appetizer!
