Fit Turkey Wrap

In a large pot, heat 5 liters of filtered water until it reaches about 70°C (158°F). Add the pale malt, caramel malt, and pilsner malt to the pot, stirring to ensure all grains are submerged. Maintain the temperature for about 60 minutes.

Mashing the Grains

After mashing, raise the heat to bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, add the Hallertau hops and boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. After 30 minutes, add the Saaz hops.

Boiling the Mixture

After the 60-minute boil, remove the pot from heat and cool the wort quickly using an immersion chiller or placing the pot in an ice bath until it reaches about 20°C (68°F).

Cooling the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle the lager yeast on top of the wort. Seal the vessel with an airlock and allow it to ferment at a temperature of about 10°C (50°F) for 2-3 weeks.

Fermenting the Lager

Once fermentation is complete, sanitize bottles and caps. Transfer the lager into the bottles, leaving about an inch of space at the top. Cap the bottles and allow them to condition at room temperature for 1-2 weeks.

Bottling the Lager

After conditioning, refrigerate the bottles for a few hours before serving. Pour into a clean glass, enjoy the refreshing taste of Floyds Deluxe!
